Offering garden views, Barton Hall Country House is an accommodation located in Pooley Bridge, 30 km from Derwentwater and 37 km from World of Beatrix Potter. Lovely accommodation and staff. Barton Hall has loads of character. Breakfast was excellent. Nice little discovery, will definitely be back!

Each morning, we were greeted with a sumptuous breakfast that catered to all tastes, featuring fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. The room was beautifully appointed, with attention to detail that ensured a luxurious and restful experience. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud, and the views from our window were picturesque, offering a serene backdrop to our stay. The location was ideal for exploring the natural beauty of the Lake District, with easy access to roads, trails and lakes. Tarn Hows was close by and simply quintessentially English countryside at its best! What truly set this B&B apart was the genuine care and hospitality of the hosts. Set in an acre of gardens, in the picturesque village of Grasmere, Lake View Country House is located in the heart of the Lake District, in a recently-renovated period property with original features.... Location was central, near town. Nice garden to sit and see the lake and mountains. Near a nice walking trail round Grasmere Lake. Richard, the host was most helpful and friendly. Room was warn and heated.

Located in the heart of the Lake District and just 5 minutes' drive from Ambleside, Foxghyll Country House offers free WiFi access and free on-site parking. Warm hospitality by the owners, Paul and Rachel. Thoughtful sumptuous breakfast. Spacious room with a great river and pasture view. Comfortable bed. Lots of trees and flowering plants in its 5-acre property. Our 3-night stay was very heavenly and relaxing. Pleasureable walking experience from village to village. Highly recommended for a 3~ 5 day Lake District experience.

With a beautiful riverside location, Rydal Lodge Hotel offers elegant Lake District accommodation, 2 miles from the centre of Ambleside. The place felt very homely, beautiful and located close to Mount Rydal. Breakfast service is amazing. Mark and Helena are excellent hosts. Highly recommended!

Ees Wyke Country House is an elegant Georgian property in the Lake District, less than 3 miles from the town of Hawkshead. Breakfast was excellent. We loved having afternoon tea and scones in the drawing room, and a refreshing cider served while we read. Books about Beatrix Potter and a sunny window seat to snuggle up and read were very much appreciated.

Amidst the scenery of the Lake District, this family-run bed and breakfast provides rooms with free Wi-Fi and views of the fells. The BnB was everything I needed it to be. It was clean, friendly, comfortable, good value and relaxing. The breakfast was simple and delicious. The staff were helpful and welcoming. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Overlooking Lake Windermere, Lindeth Fell offers impressive views and free parking, just 5 minutes from Windermere Ferry Crossing. It was a long drive inside from the main highway but once we reached the place , it was a hidden gem with absolutely stunning views. The breakfast was very nice with fresh ingredients, my husband loved the fresh salmon on his toast and I enjoyed the vegan grilled plate . The view from the restaurant was to die for . We had a lovely stay 😊
