Dating from the 1580’s, Hawthorn Farm Guest House is set in a Grade II listed house, 10 minutes’ walk from the centre of Buxton. It offers country-house style rooms and home-cooked food. particular highlight were the fresh (seasonal) berries for breakfast…something we had been looking for some 12 days in to our around UK driving trip.

Biggin Hall Hotel is a 3 star AA rated historic Grade II listed house of 17th Century origin with an AA awarded 1 rosette restaurant. It is set within 8 acres of grounds. We travelled to Derbyshire to visit chatworth house and booked at the hotel very last minute. We was very impressed with how we were welcomed on our arrival by very helpful and friendly staff. Our room was spacious and we were provided with a free bottle of beer and Prosecco which was a nice surprise. We also didn’t expect to receive a free packed lunch to take with us even though we only stayed for one night.

Lynne was very accommodating when I arrived early, and she has great restaurant recommendations. The room was clean and comfortable, and the lodge itself was tranquil and peaceful.

The Chatsworth Estate Cottages offer self-catering holiday cottages, set across the Chatsworth Estate and throughout the Peak District National Park. Everything was perfect.Central to all Peak District plus beautiful cottage and location.If we needed any assistance the owners were very helpful

Set in the beautiful Dovedale Valley, The Izaak Walton is a 17th-century hotel with spectacular views across the Derbyshire countryside, known for its fishing streams, a log fireplace in the front... Everything about this hotel was just perfect. The hotel is positioned amongst stunning Derbyshire countryside and exudes classic English elegance and charm. The gentleman who managed the evening dining in the bar and breakfast room was professional and friendly. Thank you for the exceptional stay....it certainly exceeded all expectations.
