The far-reaching views from Rowen extend to the magnificent mountains beyond. The medieval walled town of Conwy is just 4 miles away, as is the coast. This was a great location for our two nights in Conwy. Our room was very comfortable; the bathroom had high-end conveniences that we weren't expecting. The gardens were absolutely beautiful; we wish we'd planned for some time to sit on the veranda and enjoy the birds and flowers. We had a flat tire on our rental car while we were in Anglesey an hour away. Sandra was so helpful in advising us while we rearranged our plans so we could pick up another rental. She even called a taxi for us to get to the train station. The breakfasts were delicious, perfectly cooked with generous portions -- a great way to start a full day of adventures.

Boasting a garden and views of mountain, Bryn Elltyd Eco House is a country house set in a historic building in Blaenau-Ffestiniog, 17 km from Portmeirion. The property has lake and garden views, and is 39 km from Snowdon. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi, free private parking and an electric vehicle charging station. We liked the location. The grounds were pretty and it was very peaceful. Good central location for exploring Snowdonia. The host was pleasant. The bed was big and comfortable.

The village of Rowen is just 1 mile away and the property offers free parking. Beautiful country house and the room we stayed in was large and very comfortable. Friendly and informative host, who ensured that we knew what was available in the area. Great breakfast served with extras, such as homemade lemon curd.

Situated at the foot of Cader Idris mountain, Afon Rhaiadr Country House is within the heart of Snowdonia and offers white-water rafting, kayaking and mountain biking in the local area. This Victorian house also features free on-site parking and a private garden. The property is excellently maintained and is a beautiful old house. Our hosts, Gina and Gareth were, well what can I say apart from congenial, friendly, helpful, courteous, loved a chat and a laugh. Gina went out of her way to make us feel welcome and at home. The breakfast choices were amazing and meant we didn’t need lunch. We had dinner on the Saturday night and the food was delicious. They are both great cooks!

Welcome to Ty’n Rhos Country House nestled in the rolling foothills of snowdonia, this once dairy farmstead is now transformed into a characterful 5* guest accommodation featuring 19 individually styled en-suite bedrooms. The dinner is fabulous. Especially the beefsteak. Highly recomened.

It was well equipped and there is a shop and two pubs within walking distance. When we arrived the smoke alarm was bleeping,I contacted the cottage managers who got back to me quickly. I walked Snowdon and it was an ideal location.
