It was a very easy 8 minute walk into Lorne from our apartment and we could walk along the boardwalk or take the street paths.
The beaches were lovely and gorgeous views from our balcony. The apartment was furnished and decorated beautifully.
I could not fault anything and will be back again.

Our hostess Sally, has put together a very cosy, comfortable, romantic Parisian room together with great taste. Very large and comfortable bed, all the amenities you could possibly need. Great support if in need, prompt, friendly, professional and persistent. Great location, made getting around Lorne and beach very easy.

Lorne is a lovely place to stay, The beach is clean and good for swimming, and lovely to walk along in the evening. There are plenty of shops to look at, and a good variety of cafes, casual dining and restaurants to choose from. You can access all of Lorne without needing the car. There is a range of stunning walks that can be reached either by foot or by car, with a choice of difficulty ranging from stroller friendly to strenuous.

This was our first visit to Lorne and we were impressed from the moment we drove into town. It is bigger and more modern than we pictured, but not over-developed and certainly not crowded. The town is reminiscent of south-east Queensland, without the heat and humidity. The beach is perfect for young families: a gentle gradient and waves for all ages. There were too many eateries for our three-day stay – one of the main reasons we'll return. Ipsos Restaurant is extremely popular all day long, however, we walked in without a reservation. Captain Hooked fish and chips is well worth a repeat. The locally made Gelato is smooth and packed with flavour. Erskine Falls and Sheoak Falls provide opportunity for manageable bursts of exercise away from the beach, with a nice reward at the end, contrasting abundant tree ferns of the temperate rainforest with sea-side bracken. Short drives to Aireys Inlet and Anglesea afford further opportunities to experience the Great Ocean Road and expand the tourist options on offer with lighthouse tours, canoeing and surf lessons.

Very pricey. Mostly friendly people.
Very pricey. Mostly friendly people. Had a miserable start to our stay our accommodation was horrible. We arrived and there was no one at reception. There was a sign up saying to ring a number which we did and it wouldn’t connect. Tried the door and it opened. There was a man inside who wasn’t much help. It was just horrible. Very unsettling. Very poor place to stay. 😞
We very much enjoyed our stay at The Sandridge Motel. The best place ever during Easter holiday secure parking as it was packed during easter. Very convinient everything you will ever need is just around the corner the beautiful beach, cafes and other shops. The reception lady was a bonus as she was very helpful in every way and made our stay extra special. We are looking forward to spend our next holiday back at Lorne and stay at the very same property. Thank you👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Loved everything about our visit to Lorne and this hotel. Great location & view from room, comfortable and cool styling, fantastic shower (water pressure is everything 😄), very attentive staff and the Coda restaurant dinner and service was exceptional. Great time of year to visit the area, outside of the crowds but still beautiful clear water and clean beaches and that autumn light. Looking forward to our next stay here!
We loved our stay so much in this beautiful location. Lorne was extremely busy whilst we were there, and it was so nice to come back at the end of each day and relax with beautiful views of nature and wildlife in such a peaceful location. My kids loved the wildlife, and the hosts kindly topped up the birdfood whilst we were there so the kids could keep interacting with the local parrots and cockatoos.
The location was fantastic, just a few minutes walk to the beach and to the main street in the town. The room was beautifully furnished and had a kitchenette with tea coffee etc. Lovely sea view. We stayed in three different places along the great ocean road and this was both the cheapest and by far nicest place we stayed. Excellent value for money.
The view is really nice and the best thing about the place. The furniture is reasonably comfortable for a rental house and the kitchen has essential cooking items. Close to the beach, although it is not a good beach for swimming or surfing and it is a steep walk up the hillside from the beach to the house. Short drive to Lorne beach, town and shops.
The staff was very friendly, helpful, patient, kind, compassionate and professional! The location, in downtown Lorne, allowed for easy access to the beach and was a short walking distance from several high quality restaurants and other shops (e.g., bakery, supermarket, etc., etc..). The room was spacious and comfortable!
The five star venue was of the highest quality. The hosts were generous, communicative and available. The home was very modern, well supplied, and with beautiful views. An open fire was much appreciated, and added to the joy with space to stretch out and and relax.
One is the most beautiful location between Lorne beach and pier a short 1km walk to beach and shops.
One of the best views of ocean and pier.
The house was beautiful nicely decorated with all the amenities included.
Highly recommended.
Dinner at Larder was great with attentive staff. The location is ideal for families with beach and pool options as well as being close to the Lorne shops. The staff were friendly and as helpful as they could be in the circumstances.
The house was beautiful!! It had everything you needed and more. The Kitchen was full equiped. The terrace was great, with a BBQ. And it was right next to everything you want to do in Lorne.
The Deluxe King Suite is a huge room at the Lorne Hotel with a large window directly overlooking the Lorne beach. The room felt spacious and luxurious. I would definitely recommend it.
We enjoyed our one week stay everything such as Cafes, shops and beach all within walking distance near Mantra Lorne and the hotel itself has a bar, restaurant or dine within your room.
The deck was an amazing place to be; the house was very comfortable and perfect for our group, including our dogs. We had a marvelous time at Lorne Haven.
