The collective areas (breakfast, dining, lounge) were very good. The food was excellent and the staff superb (going the extra mile without being asked, and always smiling and making us feel welcome and like friends). The location was superb, close to Glencoe and Fort William (although the latter left much to be desired!).
Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, this property is located 12 miles, or a 30-minute drive, from the south of Fort William in the Highlands of Scotland. This hotel overlooks Loch Linnhe.
Corran Bunkhouse is set in Lochaber near Onich, on the banks of Loch Linnhe. This charming property offers rooms set in a former bunkhouse with a steam room and kitchen.

We were astonished as to how clean the place was. Rooms were kind of a small, but with private bathroom so there was no issue with it. From facilities you have there everything imaginable and needed, especially in the kitchen area. There is also a lounge area for relaxation. This was our first bunkhouse experience, and we can definitely recommend it. Just a recommendation to serve optional breakfast would have been a wonderful experience there.
A warm, family welcome awaits at this traditional West Highland inn/small hotel. Beautifully situated beside Loch Linnhe, Inn at Ardgour is reached via a very short car-ferry trip across the water.

Truly a gift to ourselves to stay at Glencoe House. Richard and the staff were exceptional. Hats off to the chef who popped in to make sure our meal exceeded our expectations. We utilized the pristine hot tub, affordably priced bar, exquisite accommodations. Put yourself first and enjoy the long history and commitment to service at Glencoe House🏴
Onich is really well positioned to visit some great places.
Onich is really well positioned to visit some great places. Ben Nevis is
at Fort William, with the delicious whiskey distillery at its foot. Definitely visit Loch Shiel (famous filming location) and the viaduct at Glenfinnan (as seen in Harry Potter). You'll be totally spoilt with the stunning scenery on the way to and from Eilean Donan castle on Loch Duich - it's a bit of a drive but so, so worth it.

The view of the loch was good.
The view of the loch was good. It was a stormy day and night, but that was an interesting view too.
It was a small simple room, which is all we need. I could do without the TV. The picture on the website made it super easy to spot as we approached. This was a great location for a stopover between things we did.

The Onich hotel is in a spectacular setting.
The Onich hotel is in a spectacular setting. We have stayed here before, we loved our stay then and we loved it this time too. The room and facilities were all one might expect and the food was top rate. We'll definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Loved the location.
Loved the location. Our room had a balcony and a fantastic view over Loch Linnhe. They have an excellent chef and evening meals were delicious & reasonably priced. They also had a well stocked bar. The owner, manager and staff were all very polite and helpful and it was so good we opted to stay another night.
Not everyone enjoys a buffet breakfast but it was good quality and suited us except for the food not being hot enough. However this was quickly rectified & hopefully won’t be a problem in the future.

Excellent location and room.
Excellent location and room. The owners are evidently investing a lot to update the hotel and when complete will be very good.
The owners are very helpful and friendly but their staff let them down with their lack of professionalism.
An enjoyable stay, comfortable and clean but room a bit basic, no wardrobe just a hanging rail. The whole place was a bit 1950s in decor and furnishing, but that’s ok. It’s been a long time since I stayed in a hotel with net curtains. The food was good and staff very friendly. You need to be aware however that if arriving from Fort William the stay will add £20 as that is the return cost of the ferry.
The room/bathroom had all the modern amenities. The B&B had a lovely lake view. A few miles from restaurants, they offered a full breakfast as well as a limited evening menu. Bar was open and staff was very knowledgeable about their whiskies. They got us reservations at a "hard to get into" seafood restaurant (quite a few people turned away). Overall, it was great.
We were made very welcome from the very beginning. All the staff were friendly and professional…adhering to Covid-19 restrictions at all times. Service was great, food was yummy…a huge and varied menu. Breakfast was delicious. Check in and out was easy. Would definitely go back…loved it. Great views from our room. Spotlessly clean. An all round great place to stay.
We stayed in Kerrera Cottage. The cottage is really cute, nicely decorated, and high quality furnishings. The view is lovely and the location is good -- a bit far from Fort William, but the area is quiet and it's easy to get around see the sights. There is one restaurant a short walk away, which was convenient. Overall, great experience.
The front of house staff were welcoming, accommodating and couldn’t simply couldn’t do enough for you. The location is fantastic with just a short walk to the bottom on Ben Nevis. The restaurant had an excellent range of food with a fantastic view of the lake which was welcomed after a long walk up Nevis! We will definitely be back.
Fantastic hosts, who provided us with a comfortable home setting away from home. Comfortable bed, shower great and good breakfast to start the day. Mairi also guided us to get medical care after I got knee injury and to amazing local cafes, restaurants and sites. Our preferred one was Lochleven Seafood Cafe! Superb!
The room was spacious and beautifully decorated and there was food and drink in the 'fridge which I didn't expect. We took a ride on the ferry (free for foot passengers) to the other side of the loch although there wasn't really anything over there. We enjoyed it though and we saw a seal!
Beautiful location, for exploring the mountains, with a small private beach. We just need to revisit in the summer to take full advantage of the beach. The Onich Hotel was only 2 minutes walk away, gorgeous food and very friendly staff who accommodated our party of 6 with 2 dogs no problem
Gary served one of the best breakfasts we had the entire trip. The surrounding scenery is gorgeous. I forget the name of the place but he steered us to a restaurant on the other side of the lake where we had an incredible seafood meal.
The location is great, it was a stopover for one night on the way to Skye. It appeared to be good value for money. Very comfy bed and hot shower. Went to Kinlochleven for dinner in the seafood restaurant which was excellent
Room was lovely. Fantastic size and facilities. Breakfast provided in the fridge (milk, muffin and orange juice). The restaurant is closed however there is a brilliant pub (Roam West) which does amazing food and drinks.
The staff were exceptional! Very kind and accommodating!
The food at the restaurant was absolutely amazing!
a wide variety and a large range of gluten free options.
Highly highly recommend this place!
Breakfast was delicious.
evening food offer was over priced but we only tried it once then went out
It is a lovely hotel but there are alot of rules to follow, perhaps as there are issues with staff
Perfect location for visiting Glencoe - close to the village of Ballachulish, close to Fort William. Loved the horses grazing outside our window. Comfortable and cozy, responsive host.
The staff was very friendly and professional especially Barbara in the restaurant. The food was cooked to perfection. The view from the room was phenomenal.
