Beautiful apartment in retro style, with lots of interesting details. The view from the room and from the terrace, to the islands and entering the bay, is incredible. Everything is clean and tidy. Fully equipped kitchen. Comfortable bed. Very friendly host and large private parking. For every recommendation! 🙂

The town of Perast over the past several years has become like a hotel, analogous to Sveti Stefan - looking beautiful and functioning great for tourists. Perast is very small, one can walk all along it within twenty minutes, and that explains, but does not justify the absence of any pharmacy in the town, which is my only complaint.

Picturesque old town with a nice beach front walk.
Picturesque old town with a nice beach front walk. All restaurants are expensive tourist traps with expensive lousy food. Parking is a nightmare. It is worth a 30 minute visit to walk along the beach front (make sure you are not hungry)

We had 3 weeks in Montenegro and spent the last 3 nights in Perast. We could have had another 2-3 days here to be fair. It is much calmer than Kotor and even though it is much smaller we enjoyed Perast better as a city. It is not so crowded and we enjoyed walking from Perast to Risan where we had lunch and then on the way back we stopped for a swim. We had lunch at an amazing oyster farm (the first one on your right as you walk back from Risan - search for "Mussles and Oysters farm with Restaurant" on Google). They were fully booked but still gave us a table and we had one of the best lunches!
We also spent a day swimming, there are several small "concrete piers" that you can swim from, good for both adults and children, but remember to have shoes to swim with, lots of mussels and rocks at some spots.
I also have to recommend a restaurant called “Underwater wine cellar Kraken Kotor”. A small independent restaurant, floating just outside of Perast on the way towards Kotor. We had a swim straight “of” the restaurant, good food and wine. It is an experience you will never forget!
We never went to Our lady of the rocks, it just seemed to be too crowded (unless you manage to get with the first taxi/tour in the morning). We did walk up in the church tower in the centre.

Perast was lovely, although with a young family a day trip would have been long enough. There is a cafe which serves the best pizza I’ve ever eaten - Bocolibre I think it was called. If only there were more relaxed cafe type places to eat as all the restaurants serve the same dishes. It is truly pretty but lacks enough beach space for the amount of visitors. We used a spot on the road to enjoy swimming which was fine but not restful or much fun for young children.
The accommodations are cozy, comfortable, and clean.
The interior has an old-world charm with a modern renovation.
The view from the window is breathtaking.
It's just a 2-minute walk to the beach, and there's a convenient store downstairs.
Across the street, there are boat excursions and kayak/paddleboard rentals.
The owner was friendly, gave us a tour before check-in, and helped with questions during our stay.
There are a large number of restaurants nearby where you can enjoy delicious meals.
We stayed in the main building which was great as convenient for breakfast in the morning, for use of the reception as well as being in the centre of Perast. Ed on reception was amazing, always ready to help and was just brilliant. All of the staff we felt with were great. The restaurant had wonderful food, the staff were also very attentive. If you stay at the hotel and book the restaurant in advance they will prioritise you. We sat on the waterfront every night which was stunning!
I have stayed for 2 days. It was amazing! The view was tremendous. You should wake up early because you can watch in the best way the view of the bay of Kotor. You can park your car in the parking lot easily. The house was clean(it was the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed). Also, it has a terrace which you can have breakfast or sip wine. Despite the weather being rainy while I was staying, Perast streets and the view of the bay were wonderful.
Exceptional stay in Perast! The apartment exceeded all expectations - beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean, and equipped with all amenities. The breathtaking views of the bay from the balcony were truly unforgettable. The central location made exploring the charming town a breeze. The host's warm hospitality and helpful recommendations added a personal touch to our experience.
Hotel is located exactly in the center of Perast. It’s mini hotel with 14 rooms. We stayed in the apartment, which had living room and bedroom. Everything was new and modern. Staff were extremely kind and helpful, specially Jelena. She is amazing! Breakfast was good as well, in the restaurant next door. We would definitely come back!
Hotel location is perfect. Building's old texture is amazing. Breakfast is good. Hotel staff are very friendly, sincere and helpful. When we arrive the entrance of Perast they picked up with electric cart. We didnt even wait :)
We stayed in sea view room and it was so fabulous. Silence was perfect.. Toilette was useful and modern.
The staff is very excellent! They had a problem with our room so they put us in a three-bedroom house right next to the hotel. Great location and perfect amenities. Restaurant food was very tasty with a very nice waiter. English spoken well here.
They even parked our car for is on the narrow road. Most beautiful place. Stay here!
A lovely boutique hotel in the heart of the delightful village of Perast. This small chacter hotel has a first class restaurant right on the waters edge and our waiter, who has been working in the hotel for 47 years was excellent.Must also mention Marrianna on reception who was super efficient and friendly.
Per Astra is up the hill in Perast, meaning that it is one of the rare hotels in the village owning a parking place. This was the main reason for our choice of the hotel, and it fully delivered on the promise. The room was very large and calm, with a huge bathroom. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Hotel was beautifully decorated and the room felt more like a mini apartment than a hotel room. Staff were incredibly helpful and always happy to answer any questions we had. The breakfast was epic. Perast is a great location to explore the Bay. We loved every minute of our stay!
A beautifully restored stone house near the waterfront. The owners are lovely and the kitchen had everything needed for cooking simple meals. The apartment was clean, quiet, and location is great. It was cold when we were there and David kindly brought us a portable heater.
The apartment has a perfect location, in the center of Perast, close to the tower and behind Hotel Konte.
It was cozy, clean and tidy. The host was very nice, helpful and give us useful advices related to the beach, places to visit etc.
I strongly recommend this place.
Apartment in downstairs is amaizing. House is all in stone and just a minute or two walking distance from center of Perast. Hosts were great and we hope that we are going to visit Perast again in near future.
All recommendations to this place.
Spring Apartment is self catering , but there are many lovely places nearby to have breakfast , lunch , dinner in picturesque Perast.
Spring Apartment is located at the quiet end of Perast , large pine tree provides shade for al fresco dining.
We came back for our last day in Montenegro to spend in Perast. Love this place and definitely it will be my stop next time I'll travel to Montenegro.
Again thank you for everything and I would recommend this guesthouse to anyone.
Location was very near the main streets and beautiful restaurants. The hosts were so pleasant and very caring to us.
Room was clean, everything was new and we could see they were not saving on materials.
It is the most beautiful place where we have stayed in Montenegro. We appreciate David and his hospitable father for everything. The apartment is so clean and we will come again!
One of the best houses I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying in! I recommend it to all. Perast is also the most lovely place on the water in Montenegro. 10/10 experience.
