Visit San Marino was a dream plan for us.
We rent a car to rich San Marino from Florence. We had only one night reserved for San Marino. This place is unique. I plan to come back one day to stay longer and enjoy the beauty of this place.

San Marino itself is an amazing place to visit.
San Marino itself is an amazing place to visit. All the historical buildings, steep winding streets of vendors continuing for ages until you reach the top castle embattlements. And you can pick another route down passing more vendors along the way, everything from high end fashion and jewelry to weapons shops. As an Australian, I was shocked that all these guns, knives, machetes, flick knives, spears, high powered bows, arrows, sling shots, crossbows etc. were for open sale. Our laws prevent such sale of deadly weapons but each to their own.

Walking up Mount Titan and visiting the towers was great - a nice escape into a wooded area on a hot day. The old historic centre was lovely, and there appeared to be a couple of good restaurants up there. But otherwise, once you leave the historic centre, but are still up on the hill, it was difficult to find a decent restaurant for dinner that served more than just burgers or sandwiches. I would suggest that San Marino is nice to visit for a couple of hours, explore the historic centre, maybe do some tax-free shopping, but it doesn't require an overnight stay.

San Marino, the capitol and old town of the San Marino...
San Marino, the capitol and old town of the San Marino republic, located on the top of Monte Titano, is a fantastic and tremendously scenic place. In my opinion there are many beautiful and interesting things to see and learn more about just walking around in the old town and visiting the three towers. In addition to the wonderful scenery and the historical sensation, there are numerous museums, shops or restaurants to visit. definitely quite a nice place to go for a short stay.
The only thing I didn't appreciate that much and that I found didn't really fit in this specific environment was the commercial approach with plenty of shops and stalls trying to sell various gadgets and thingies. But ok, everything can't be completely genuine and all that perfect.

After the crowdedness of other European cities San Marino...
After the crowdedness of other European cities San Marino was a haven. This is probably because there is no airport or train station and you really need a car to get there. The mountain and old town are Unesco heritage protected and the views are stunning. We loved visiting the three towers and the Public Palace. Unique boutiques with quality products ( shopping is tax free) and there are some great buys to be had particularly Italian leather bags and jewellery. A picturesque and charming place.
Strategically located in San Marino old town, step away from shops, restaurants, landmarks and public parking P6. The property is tastefully done, with lots of artwork, fine china, books, very artistic. The view from the attic balcony is breathtaking. We’re provided with a coupon for breakfast in the nearby bar, fresh croissant, coffee and juice. Checkin and checkout is contactless, no hustle. The host just left us the key and house is all us.
Really very exceptional view from top of the hill. It is located directly in the historical center of San Marino Town, just beside the Hill station of the cable car. Parking space for own car is down at the bottom station P11 of the cable car. Or use one of the two Parking Areas on the hill. Nice and clean hotel with own restaurant, very friendly staff. Nice Food and Coffee. There are many shops and many restaurants. Absolutely worth a trip.
this little aparthotel is located near the top of San Marino with AMAZING views. the apartment was well equipped and had comfortable beds. best of all, the staff was very friendly and helpful - they were able to accommodate for an early check in and last minute changes to the booking, helped with restaurant recommendations and reservations and even helped organize a transfer to the airport
My room was absolutely beautiful, with amazing panoramic view. The location is great, just a short walk from all the historical sites. The breakfast was lovely, especially the homemade pies. The food at the hotel restaurant was some of the best I've had in Italy. The hotel staff was very helpful and even helped me to book a COVID-19 test before my flight. Highly recommended!
It's located just over 1 kilometer from the center of San Marino town. If you're traveling by car, it's convenient ad there is a place to park, but if you are using public transportation, it's about a 15 minute walk up and down a hill each way to get into town. One bonus is if you are taking the bus back to Rimini, the bus stops almost in front of the hotel.
The hotel is within walking distance of the views in San Marino. On top, the Christmas market was close by, where the evening was well spent. We came by car and the parking lots 6 & 7 are within walking distance. The hotel offers a discounted parking charge which is very helpful.
They also serve a nice breakfast, which was convenient
Nicely located, close to the Old City gate. Has its own parking but also close to public parking P6 where you can park and get a discounted price from hotel. Rooms are clean, breakfast very good and staff is extremely nice. They have a terrace with a great view where you can have a drink for reasonable price.
Fell in love with San Marino, and it was a privilege to stay right in the old town.
The room was spacious, with very thoughtful local gifts/information. Sadly didn't have time to make use of terrace. Enjoyed just going downstairs for dinner.
Breakfast at local 'sister' hotel was plentiful and well-varied.
Hotel Rosa is a beautiful hotel in the heart of San Marino easy walk to all of the town. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. We requested s transfer to and from the bus station for €10 which was a necessity due to the steep terrain.
Very nice hotel with ample facilities in the room (air conditioner, fridge). Very nice staff and enjoyable breakfast. Ample parking. Used our own car for the short drive up to San Marino centro storico where ample car parking (paid) is available.
Excellent location in the heart of San Marino's mountain-top utopia. The room was comfortable. Was a brief visit so hard to say much more although the hotel is located above a decent restaurant (as well as being close to bars and shops).
The staff were helpful and friendly. Location is superb with amazing view of surrounding countryside. Terrazzo restaurant had good food and views. Hotel courtesy cart was a life saver getting our luggage from car to hotel up steep hill.
Great location— parked in lot 6 and it was a quick walk up. Owner was lovely. Decided to stay 2 nights instead of 1 and ate in restaurant both nights. Delicious. San Marino is magical. Walked the whole town. Want to return!
Charming hotel in quiet town, perfect base to explore San Marino! The room was quite spacious and comfortable. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.
