Booked for a room with a view and stayed at the 5th floor. Fantástic view of the Ribeira, especially at the sunset. Nice and friendly people attending in the reception, restaurant and bar. Fantastic breakfast, including sparkling and Porto wines. Cheeses and sausages served in the hotel winery, which makes a true difference. It was my wife birthday and they sent her a bottle of sparkling wine with a small cake to celebrate. Little things that really makes a big difference.

It was a very good choice, which I made quite randomly. The hotel has a virtual reception, which is probably a sign of things to come. I am pretty "old school" with hotels, so this worried me when I first confronted a dial-up connection and a person on a flat screen, but it all worked.
