Standing in the shade of a magnificent 500-year-old oak tree, this traditional bar/restaurant is ideal for those wishing to escape from the rush of modern day life. The non-smoking inn is adjacent to the West Highland Way and is ideal for walkers. After a long day spent exploring the region’s magnificent scenery and breathing in the invigorating fresh air, you can satisfy your hard-earned hunger with a delicious meal. Food is served all day and the bar has a cosy, welcoming atmosphere and a real log fire. This inn is surprisingly managed by capable young people. The place has an historical yet vibrant beat. The staff courtesy impressed me. Best points: position near trekking paths, the cottages stand near a great pub, breakfast was really good. You can have all you desire in a short distance from your room (there's even a grocery). My husband particularly liked their coffee and soap.

The property is non-smoking and is situated 18 km from Mugdock Country Park. Very comfortable room, spacious and very clean bathroom shared among four people (two rooms). Staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel very welcome. The location is very conveniently in the centre of Drymen with a small bakery and supermarket just across the road.
