For Surfers this is a must, and for everyone else, I can’t see that you would get a better stay anywhere else in this region. Supercute house with a patio overlooking the whole bay. Tidy and clean and excellent breakfast. Whats not to like?

Great man, very welcoming and very generous. make you feel home. The best place by far to rent surfboards, little bit far from the beach, but he landed us bicycle which made us feel locals.

I stayed here with my son for a couple of nights and found the Hillside Inn Scirocco very charming. The Inn itself is very tidy and set in beautiful natural surroundings, which include a well tended garden and outdoor hot pool for exclusive use for guests. The sea view from the room was amazing and, along with the birdsong, lovely to wake up to. Breakfast was amazing, wholesome and freshly prepared every day. The owners are very kind although it probably helps to be able to speak Japanese. Overall, we had a great time!

Joe instantly made me feel at home, I couldn’t really ask for a nicer host. The house was beautiful and the location was stunning. Traveling on ny own can get lonely but Joe made me feel very welcome. Highly recommend staying at Guesthouse Oomiya Base.
