阿蘇び心 Asobi Gokoro, a property with a garden, is set in Aso, 41 km from Kumamoto Castle, 41 km from Suizenji Park, as well as 41 km from Hosokawa Residence Gyobutei. The property was very easy to find. The host was super helpful in helping us park the car. He was very friendly and offered us some delicious corn tea. Spoke to us in excellent English and had handmade maps with recommendations. My friends and I went during winter so there heaters on every floor. The blankets for the futon were so warm. The kitchen was fully stocked in cooking utensils which were helpful when making food. There were places where we could hangout outside too!

The home made breakfast taste so good, in Japanese-western style, with homemade jam and honey. The room is clean and comfortable, all equipment are very new and tidy. There is basic kitchen equipment, microwave and small oven which can do some easy cooking. Love the wooden bathroom and toilet, the pleasant natural smell. The room is right facing Mt. Aso. The scenery inside and outside the room is amazing, like a picture. The owners are very nice and helpful.

The host is also really sweet - she even offered me a larger room than the one I had booked. My stay was just perfect. 100% recommend!!

We would recommend this place to anybody who wants to have a great Japanese experience that really stands out. We would love to come back some time.
