Uchi is situated in Matsushima, 200 metres from Zuigan-ji Temple. Guests can enjoy listening to music or watching TV in the common area. You will find a shared lounge at the property. The host was exceptional. Very friendly and offered helpful information. He also spoke English fluently. Hotel was small and quiet. Exceptionally clean. Convenient location.

Relatively close to the station and the facilities were nice. My favorite part, however, was talking with the staff. Everyone, staff and other guests, was super nice and understanding making it my favorite part of my Japan trip so far. Especially how it was a great chance to meet lots of new people from all over Japan and the world and practice my Japanese with everyone working there. I would highly recommend!

Great value for money if you want to stay in Kesennuma for a night. Location is ~30 minutes by foot from the train station or ~10 minutes by BRT (which runs to and from the station). Staff was very friendly and speaks english well enough. Facilities were clean.

Guesthouse 66 is situated in Kakuda, 43 km from Sendai City Community Support Center, 42 km from Zuihoden, as well as 43 km from Sendai Station. Our room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The guesthouse was about a four minute walk from the train station, and an eleven minute walk to the supermarket. Hiro, the owner, was super nice and friendly ^^

Open from 2016, Traveler's Wharf Shichigahama is a 60-year-old Japanese-style accommodation with views of the sea. We absolutely loved our stay at Traveler’s Wharf Shichgahama. Taka is a wonderful host - attentive, accommodating and we really enjoyed getting to know him a little bit. He took excellent care of us, anticipating our needs and showing great hospitality. He picked us up from the train station, and advised us on activities in the area. I would highly recommend you stay here if you are looking for a quiet, low key place close to the beach.
