One of the nicest hotels I have stayed in 45 years of travel. Artistic and funky but also warm, friendly and totally unpretentious. The hotel is an old style property, airy and light with big windows and views to the Pico volcano. It is like a gem of an oasis amidst more recent development on the edge of town, but is only ten mins walk down to the big square and port. Breakfast in the spacious dining room is exceptional and the ladies who run the hotel are charming and helpful. We had the extra benefit and unexpected bonus of the Suite, which was like having your own flat with a terrace! There are some trendy restaurant options down the hill with good food - but rather pricey wine, but we found a couple of traditional older places (Medalhas & Lima) that we liked. For whale-watching, Naturalist are a good science-based outfit and if you are short of time or transport they do an excellent half day island tour too - very informative and not touristy. You can do both in one day!

Very spacious seafront room, clean and nice, with well equipped kitchenette and a great stuff. Great location.

Mar Rosa - Terraço Vista Praia er nýuppgert gistirými í Horta, 1,4 km frá Praia de Porto Pim og 2,1 km frá Praia da Conceição. Beautiful terrace and perfect location

Casa de Hóspedes Porto Pim býður upp á gistingu í Horta, 1,4 km frá Praia de Porto Pim og 2 km frá Praia da Conceição. Gestir geta setið úti og notið lóðar gististaðarins. Best location, everything on your doorstep and quiet to sleep, except for the hilarious calls of the cagarro (I love it!)

BELO CAMPO - Ilha do Faial (Horta) í Castelo Branco, Faial Island, býður upp á gistingu með garði og sameiginlegri setustofu. Very friendly. Nice room and bathroom. Very close to the airport (5 minutes to walk), but it dont disturb you. Parking for the car, easy to find, with sign on the passing street. Nice garden with a lot of flowers and a nice common room, which serves a breakfast room and kitchen too. Very clean. With the car it's around ten minutes to Horta. WiFi worked well. In the common room you have books and information about the island(s) etc. If I can come again to Faial, I would choose this place again.

You may hear the rush from the streets, so take the earplugs, but that's logical if you want to live in a town center

Porto Pim Guest House er nýuppgert gistihús í Horta, 1,4 km frá Praia de Porto Pim. Það er með garð og sjávarútsýni. Very clean sweet renovated home. Everything we needed was there. The bedroom was small with private bathroom and air conditioning , it met our needs . There is the option to sit outside and the shared space is very inviting . It feels like home . I would definitely come back again !
