This place exceeded every expectation I had! Sámara is a true paradise : the perfect little beach town with the kindest people, the most beautiful beaches and the best vibe. Sandy toes hostel is perfectly located, is really clean and has the most amazing staff. They have activities every night that will help you make a lot of friends and have so much fun. I really recommend going there if you are searching for a place that will quickly feels like home. Although I must warn you : there is a high chance you end up staying there for way longer than originally planned ;) Thank you so much Kiban, Maria, Johanna, Naomi, Valérie, Meri and Chiqui; looking forward to seeing you again !

Michelle (undoubtedly the best receptionist in CR) made me feel warmly welcomed from the moment i entered hostel samara. Her bright and open soul and amazing taste of music opened this part of CR to me, and let me spend some beautiful sunsets in samara. the location was great, everything was tidy and clean, but rather than keep on writing about the usual things, you really should go and see for yourself. you'll love it.

Matilori is a little pearl right in the middle of Samara. The entrance made beautiful by the legendary Oscar, welcomes you into a little bubble of good and relaxed vibes and a long table where you’re likely to meet some nice people to share a meal and good conversations with. The two kitchens are spacious and perfect for cooking. The rooms are nice, and the staff is just great people! I especially loved the hanging bed outside, and the decorations that makes the place feel homy!

The place is just so beautiful and gives off garden-jungle-cozy vibes. It is full of plants and you can see animals too! Thomas is such a nice host, he was always ready to answer all our questions, gave great suggestions on where to eat or go swimming, helped look at our rental car because we were clueless and prepared a very lovely breakfast every morning. The welcome drinks were fresh coconuts, which were absolutely AMAZING! The rooms are very spaceous and had 2 fans. Just don’t leave food in your room, he has a very nice and big kitchen where you can put your things in a fridge, otherwise you could attract ants. At night you can see many crabs at the beach, which is very close by! It’s super quiet at night, all you can hear are the animals. Thank you for a lovely stay dear Thomas!🙏🏼

This hostel is my favorite place to stay in samara..its so close to the beach and super close for resturaunts and grocery store.. the kitchen is large for the amount of guests, the common space is really relaxing with hammocks and benches.. its a great place to meet people.. probably the moat social hostel im Samara.. the staff is great and really puts their hearts into thier work. This place is special.. im not sure why some people are dissapointed but they must not have stayed at many hostels. I think those that seem to keep to themselves and not socialize are the same people that dont enjoy what mariposas offers... i mean i go to hostel to socialize and learn about local places.. anyways i had a great time.
