We felt welcome and had a good time cooking meals in the shared kitchen and we were also able to work a little while there.

Wonderful Place! Dayi and Erick are the most welcoming hosts you can think of. They have really good reconmendations for activities and help you with booking. Bolita Trails and Lodging offers accommodation in Dos Brazos de Rio Tigre, 14 km from Puerto Jimenez. The property offers 14 kilometers of hiking trails, adjacent to Corcovado park. This is a true gem. One of the last of its kind. A beautiful, affordable, tropical mountain retreat in the rainforest with more trails than we could hike in the extent of our stay. The owners were amazingly accommodating and great at communication. The communal cooking facilities were excellent.

The location was fairly quiet as there wasn't much road traffic going by. There was AC and the shower had hot water, which my wife loved. The kitchen was an ample size and had everything we needed; even Tupperware to keep our extra food so we didn't leave it in the pans. The rooms didn't feel cramped and had shelf space to put our things. The beds we're comfy and the towels were soft. The covered common area outside the kitchen was a great place to eat and for my wife to work. We would stay here again.

The most unexpected highlight of our visit was our stay at this fantastic workaway farm. The place is a wonderland of exquisite plants and wildlife. Our hosts were simply wonderful from the moment we arrived. The cabin blends into the landscape, with open windows on all sides. The sounds and scents of the farm just filled the air and made for a very cozy hideaway. The beds were comfy and the hammock on the balcony was a real bonus. We even had a pet dog for our visit! Workers on the farm are from all over the world and provided us with excellent company and conversation during the family-style dinner we all shared in the main house. Our hostess prepared easily the most delicious meals we had during our entire tour of Costa Rica. She even prepared banana flower, which is wonderful. Unfortunately, heavy rain prevented us from exploring the farm further. But the time we did spend there was very memorable. I wish we'd had more time to stay. Highly, highly recommended.
