Located in San José and with La Sabana Metropolitan Park reachable within 5.3 km, Chillout Hostel Barrio Escalante provides concierge services, allergy-free rooms, a garden, free WiFi throughout the... A well run hostel by a “hands on” owner who has put a lot of care in creating and managing the place. Both the owner and his staff were all very friendly and interested in chatting with their guests. The owner actually works the day shift (at least the days I was there) so he was very present to ensure a good stay. There was also staff there 24 hours a day. Chillout Hostel had two common areas. One area was in front of the building (but fenced in and behind the secured entrance gate) and was a nice place to enjoy breakfast or coffee. The second area was in the back of the building (and also enclosed). There were also seven guest rooms, a combination of dorms and private rooms. The social scene was nice, but certainly not a “party hostel.” The common areas (particularly the back common area) and kitchen were closed off at 22:00 to ensure a quiet night. They reopened at 7:00 the next morning. I found the neighborhood to be safe, certainly safer than other parts of San Jose. There were restaurants and grocery stores with a few blocks of the hostel. The hostel was a fifteen to twenty minute walk to the city center.

Ester's Place in Escazù. Offre sistemazioni con giardino e terrazza. Tutte le camere dispongono di TV a schermo piatto con canali via cavo e bagno privato. Ester’s Place is located in an upscale residential neighborhood near the major highway and within 3 blocks of PriceSmart, CIMA Hospital, P.F. Chang, and a big major shopping mall— Escazu Multi-Plaza Mall. There’s a ton of coffee shops, restaurants, and specialty shops.

Situato a San José, l'Hostel Casa Ridgway offre un parcheggio gratuito in loco. Le camere sono dotate di bagno in comune con doccia. L'ostello è carinissimo, colorato e il gestore (Luis) è stato gentilissimo! La sera abbiamo fatto una bella chiacchierata sulla storia del Costa Rica mentre la mattina dopo mi ha aiutato ad anticipare il mio taxi per andare in stazione. Il mio viaggio in Costa Rica è iniziato in questo ostello e lo ricorderò sempre!

Gaudys Hotel is located 8 minutes’ walk from La Sabana Metropolitan Park and 2 km from San José City Centre. Free WiFi access is available in public areas. È il posto migliore dove sentirsi a casa!! È un ostello bellissimo, ed enorme. Puoi trovare il tuo spazio facilmente. Lo staff è fenomenale, sono super gentili! La colazione è molto buona e varia sempre. Amo questo posto, per questo ci sono ritornata 2 volte. Consiglio assolutamente!!

Ana was very helpful and friendly. The room was almost empty so I really enjoyed a quiet night to rest of my travels. They have a space for sport and yoga mat, very good included breakfast. And everything was claen. I really liked the place.
