Really nice staff and amazing view from the hostel and the restaurant. The food prices are more than fair and very yummy daily specials. It’s a small hostel, so it is easy to meet other travellers in the main hangout area. The hostel is owned by locals. I can definitely recommend this place :)

Rancho Tranquillo snýr að ströndinni í Moyogalpa og býður upp á garð og verönd. Ókeypis WiFi og upplýsingaborð ferðaþjónustu eru til staðar. Allar einingar á farfuglaheimilinu eru með setusvæði. The ranch is beautiful and spaceous with lots of hammocks and spots to hang out. Daniela and Tony are the absolute best, so kind and helpful. There is only one dorm, so not that many people, and because of that it feels like a small family. The ranch is 15 minute walk from the town/ferry, so it is nice and quiet. The breakfasts are amazing and really good value, and one day we had a family dinner, which was delicious. You are surrounded by animals and flowers and trees, even mango-trees which you can help yourself from! They organise volcano tour (with delicious packed lunch), kayak and laundry if you need. This was my favourite place to stay on my trip, everyone should go visit this ranch!!

Hostel Clandestino Maderas er staðsett í Playa Maderas, 600 metra frá Maderas-ströndinni og 1,3 km frá Marsella-ströndinni, en það státar af garði, sameiginlegri setustofu, verönd og ókeypis WiFi. This hostel is a hidden gem in paradise. As soon as I got here I felt immediately relaxed. You feel in touch with nature. The room is very cozy as well and not too hot at night. Also, it’s really close to playa maderas.

La Urraca Loca Hostel er með garð, verönd, veitingastað og bar í Balgue. Gististaðurinn er með grillaðstöðu og er staðsettur í innan við 12 km fjarlægð frá Maderas-eldfjallinu. The owners have created a paradise in Balgue. Loved every bit of it and I think they are travellers themselves because some details were already arranged in the rooms and the facilities. I felt pretty relaxed in the hostel and the people who run it and work for it organised the activities I wanted.

Perfect place to stay if you are looking for a cozy hostel with friendly staff and a relaxed vibe. Perfect location in relation to the Spanish school to improve your Spanish, not to mention you have several top surf spots within walking distance! There is a large living room with a bar where you can get drinks. Everyone usually sits here chatting, drinking, watching a movie, playing ping pong or a game of pool. Almost every evening there is something to do in or around the hostel such as Burger night, Taco night and Trivia night. There is a communal kitchen with all amenities and various places where you can relax, such as several hammocks or sofas. The Garden will soon be renovated with, among other things, a volleyball field. There is already a slackline and campfire spot available! And don't forget to cuddle or play with the cutest dog (Lobo) and sweetest cat (Venus)!

Absolutely beautiful place to stay for a few nights, luxe traveller vibes, everything was just spot on from the design of the place, the music playing, the atmosphere, the water available and great food and reasonably priced for quality. Unlimited coffee at breakfast. We spent a whole day here just chilling and it was bliss. Sunday Funday came here so we got to join in without doing the whole day! The yoga class was amazing and in such beautiful location. Shuttles into town available during the day.

Hush Maderas er staðsett í San Juan del Sur og býður upp á veitingastað, bar, sameiginlega setustofu og garð. Gististaðurinn býður einnig upp á grill. The views here are unbelievable, the staff are so friendly, the pool at sunset is beautiful, the private rooms are big, the coworking areas are great, I met some amazing people here, and you're super close to Playa Maderas. I had a car so it made the trek up the hill a lot easier. If you don't have transport, it will be a lot more difficult to get around, although there is a regular shuttle.
