The rooms were spacious, and it felt more like a bnb and less of a hotel. The washing machine is a great help and it comes with the room, so there is no need to pay additional money for its usage. The service rendered from check in to the cleaning were definitely 4-5 hotel grade. The check in was smooth and not tedious at all. On occasion when I bump into the cleaners cleaning the room during the day, I saw how meticulous they were with their work. And there were checks to ensure that the cleaning standard were met. This is very impressive. The location was just a street away from NingXia Night Market and it was definitely one of the best night market with a variety of stores and even shophouses that sell more food. On rainy day you can just takeaway from the night market and enjoy your dinner in the comfort of the room which provide access to local tv channels and also Netflix and Smart TV function.

Posiblemente, la mejor opción en el centro histórico, en cuanto a diseño e intimidad. Bastante caro para lo que ofrece, salvo si coges la habitación doble del tercer piso (¡ojo, escaleras como las de un campanario!) con una terraza maravillosa para desayunar o subirte unos dumplings y una cerveza por la noche.

El Energy Inn se encuentra en el distrito Wanhua de Taipéi, a unos 6 minutos a pie de la Casa Roja, y ofrece habitaciones con aire acondicionado y wifi gratis en todas las instalaciones. Although it is located in Ximending which is known for being busy, the hotel is tucked back in a side street away from all the noise. It is a 10 minute walk to the Ximen metro station exit 6 and has everything you would want within a block (restaurants, convenient stores, coffee shops, shopping and street food). This was THE BEST experience we have ever had with the staff at a hotel. They are kind, caring, really care about your convenience. The hotel is clean, room was pretty spacious and comfortable. The bathroom is roomy with a Japanese toilet (will miss the heated seat), shower has plenty of hot water with good pressure. The bed is a bit firm but only if you have an issue with your back. The breakfast was AMAZING. we could not get over the options and the portions. There is laundry on site, a small kitchen in the common area and plenty of drink options in the morning. We will definitely come back and stay at this hotel. Normally we would not want to be in the middle of action but this hotel just has too many positives for us to go somewhere else. HIGHLY SUGGEST.

El STEP INN ofrece habitaciones con aire acondicionado y TV de pantalla plana por cable en el distrito Songshan de Taipéi. The room was nice and the staff was super friendly even though they could only speak Chinese. We can speak a little Chinese ourselves so it was fun communicating with them :)

El Hotel attic se encuentra en Taipéi, a 600 metros de la Casa Roja, y ofrece vistas a la ciudad. Location is excellent and convenient if you are mostly using the public transport, especially the buses and subway. No breakfast provided (paid or otherwise) and the refreshment (tea / coffee / biscuits) is basic. Not a big problem given that great food is available just round the corner.
