At the lodge guests are welcome to take advantage of a hot tub. A lovely spot with great views. The staff was great and made great recommendations for dinner in the area. The hot tub was perfect at the end of the day.

The room is also heated (if necessary), very cleaned and comfortable. Food is super! The best salmon I've ever eaten! Staff is very nice. I really reccomend this place! We also saw a black bear from the window in the morning!!!!

And Lucille and Jonathon are wonderful hosts. We loved every aspect of our stay. The living room area is the perfect spot to unwind. Situated in a wilderness setting, this rural Doughty lodge offers fishing and hiking on site. A full kitchen and mountain views are provided from guest units. The town of Smithers is 40 minutes’ drive away. Second time at LDR. Stayed in the Dutch Treat, smaller than the big lodge that we stayed in last time, but just as spectacular. Love this place! The property, lodges, owners, they're all fantastic! Very comfy beds and bedding, great shower. And they're building a beautiful sauna for the cabin.

The nearest airport is Kamloops Airport, 193 km from the lodge. Continental breakfast provided several options and the coffee was nice and hot. It is obvious a lot of work has gone in to renovating the rooms and front office. Very nice!
