Pramesh (the owner) is very passionate about his place, very helpful and honest in providing you the best experience for staying in Bardia. He also organises activities like movie night or a (delicious) stone oven pizza night, which were great! Amrit (the cook) makes the most powerful dishes (especially his banana pancakes and French fries). The guide (Krishna) is very good and enthusiastic about nature and wildlife. We went on a walking safari with him, which was truly a great adventure. Every night we could sit around the campfire, having conversations, enjoying good coffee and cocktails. A lot of places in Nepal suggest you “come as a guest, leave as a friend”, this place actually made sure this happened.

Zu meinem Geburtstag haben sie ein Festessen und eine Sahnetorte organisiert. Jeden Abend gab es ein Lagerfeuer. Madu kann alles organisieren, sogar Ausflüge in die Berge. Er führt die Safari Touren selbst, ist sehr erfahren, ich habe einen Tiger gesehen. Anita kocht sehr, gut es gibt nepali food mit Gemüse aus dem eigenen Garten, aber auch Spaghetti und Barbecue.

We had a fabulous stay at Bardia Eco-Lodge. The rooms and gardens are lovely. This is a true rustic eco-lodge blending beautifully with the natural surroundings. The lodge is walking distance to both the Elephant Breeding Centre and the main entrance of Bardia National Park. Our host Madhu, is a certified safari guide and we enjoyed an exceptional day on private jeep safari with him and a driver seeing a tiger, rhinos, many deer and monkeys.
