We had a lovely view of the lake. which is across the road. The rooms were overlooking Lake Macquarie, I noticed they were adding some brand new rooms as well. We checked in at the hotel bar area, and had dinner and a drink at the hotel before going upstairs to the accommodation area. Our room was like a 4 star motel. Quite a good size also. You are not far from Warners Bay shops, and Spears Point Lake side picnic area, has has bbq areas. There is a walkway right around the lake.

The location is excellent, right on the water of Lake Macquarie, and easy walking distance to a number of cafes, restaurants, the Toronto Hotel, and supermarkets. My room was comfortable, with a nice little balcony. The bathroom was clean and well presented. I was working at Eraring, so the location was perfect to travel to and from site, and the onsite parking is good.

The Gunyah Hotel has an excellent restaurant . The restaurant has great food at affordable prices. The view...is brilliant especially on warmer evenings sitting on the balcony ( Lake Macquarie is spectacular). The hotel rooms are clean and comfortable. worth the price. The staff are friendly, professional and happy to help.

Location was perfect, right opposite Lake Macquarie, and able to ride our family's bikes directly onto the bike trail from the hotel in seconds. Bedrooms were airy and had views of the lake. 3 bed unit was roomy. Onsite Teppanyaki restaurant and the coffee truck were good bonuses too

We have stayed here for a few times. We just love everything about Werekataba. Elizabeth and John are friendly hosts. The location is perfect for visiting our family members. The place is unique, peaceful and comfortable....we are so grateful for finding this place.
