The beach is only a few steps away, very clean, beautiful and far from crowded - in the morning I could have a run on the beach seeing no one:) The staff are polite and warm, very professional team! Animals sorrounding the hotel can be spotted, like sloth or agoutis. The breakfast was amazing!

The wifi was truly excellent and he was able to host his class of 13 students on zoom with 0 issues! The space was also just beautiful, big and really nice, it felt even nicer than the photos. And Stella was very nice and helpful! Also really appreciated the drying wrack provided in the room, truly necessary in Costa Rica but this was the only place we stayed to provide anything like that.

Situated in Puerto Viejo, less than 1 km from Negra Beach, Umami Hotel - Adults Only features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. Staying at Umami felt a bit like paradise. The design of the hotel is beautiful, everything was very clean. Privacy wise it's important to know that only the toilet is in a separate room, the shower and sink/vanity are part of the bedroom. The staff was super helpful and attentive. We had a lot of questions regarding tours, transport etc and they patiently helped us with everything. We definitely recommend this place.
