Hotel Sophia is located in an upcoming neighborhood where the Tartu University of Science and Technology, as well as hospital are within a short walk away. Breakfast was superb! The place is quiet! The staff is very friendly and helpful! I would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is in an excellent location in the centre of Tartu. It has a shopping centre attached and a significant part of the the stay is the hotels superb Spa. Only had the breakfast but it was without fault. All produce was fresh, local and perfectly presented. Bread freshly baked and hot. The service was way above the norm from the receptionist Emanuele. I had some work things that I needed hotel assistance on. He could not have been more helpful. More importantly I wanted flowers for my partner. He had them sorted wirh a phonecall. He dropped them to the room with candles bath salt and essences together with a hotel gift of a bottle of Prosecco. I have stayed in many 5 star hotels across the world but Emanueles customers service was as good if not better than the best of them 5 stars for VSpa.

The Antonius is a luxurious boutique hotel in the heart of the old town of Tartu, directly opposite the main building of Tartu university. Tartu Town hall is 170 metres away. We loved it all! Especially sitting by the fireplace with glasses of champaigne on long winter evenings.

Alatskivi Castle is a 16th century manor that's reconstruction was finished in the 19th century for Neo-Gothic style. If offers classically furnished castle rooms, with one located on the tower. It was an great experience to live like a king for a moment .The dinner and service was outstanding.

Located in the centre of Tartu, on the edge of the Old Town, Art Hotel Pallas, renovated in May 2020, offers modern, air-conditioned rooms with an LCD TV with satellite channels and free WiFi. The sign of a first class hotel is the reception staff. They were gracious, poised, and eager to be of assistance. As a traveler in a foreign country where I do not speak the language this is especially valued. Suggestions on where to park, where to eat ( we also ask them to tell THEIR favorite restaurant), and what sights not to miss were very welcome.
