In the Rio Dulce river near a 16th century castle the Tortugal Boutique River Lodge peninsula is bathed by almost constant on shore breezes providing a cool and refreshing place. What did we like? All of it! The rooms are tastefully decorated. They were very comfy, despite being in the middle of nature. Attentive staff, picked us up to and fro Rio Dulce. Good food, cold beers. Very refreshing to be able to jump in the river when hot!

El Hotelito Perdido is a little jungle hideaway located in a middle of Rio Dulce National Park. This was genuinely the highlight of my 3 weeks in Guatemala. Stunning location, the staff were an absolute pleasure to deal with and the owners were so warm and friendly. Couldn't advise more

Nastanitev Hotel Posada Stella Maris s 5 zvezdicami se nahaja v mestu Puerto Barrios in ponuja vrt ter skupni prostor za druženje. There is big enough and clean room with nice moutain views balcony. Also there is shared kitchen can be used. Very warm and helpful host. It is located Santo Tomas de castile, easy to take a taxi ( 30 GTQ ) or chicken bus( 3GTQ) from puerto Barrios center. Recommend to take couple days to chill out. There is walkable to beach and waterfall. The accommodation fee all goes to charity.

Nastanitev Reserva Natural Cañón Seacacar je v mestu Izabal, 45 km od znamenitosti trdnjava Castillo de San Felipe de Lara, in nudi vrt, brezplačno zasebno parkirišče ter teraso. Perfect place hidden in a small village. It’s the only accommodation in the village and has been build to help the local community. The first language in the village is Q’eqchi, the children are now learning Spanish in school from about age 5. The staff of the hotel is from the village and for them it is a place to learn and work in tourism. They are all very friendly and helpful. If you want to have a great Guatemalan experience in one of the most beautiful places of Guatemala, where the crowds don’t go (yet), this is where you want to go! I reached the hotel by a two hour trail that is insanely beautiful, constructed by the people of the village, easy to follow and a good climb to two wooden miradors with lake and jungle views. Always with the sound of absolutely fantastic river ‘sauce’ on the background. The next day I went down on a tube and they carried my bag down. The tubing in the river is what will drop your yaws!! Absolutely beautiful, a cañón with high Walls on both sides. Everything is well organized and clean. It absolutely worth a visit! I’m writing this review because I could not believe that I was the only tourist there (on a Saturday)! You will not regret your visit and you will probably (hopefully) write a similar review to help this village and the people creating a better future for there town. There are several projects ongoing, including deforestation! Go and enjoy jungle, river and peace while enjoying great food and comfortable accommodation(affordable too!)

Nastanitev Livingston Resort Hotel je ob obali v mestu Lívingston, le nekaj korakov od znamenitosti Plaža North Livingston Beach, in nudi vrt, teraso ter bar. Huge suite with 2 balconies. The kids were very happy to have their own seperate bedrooms! Beautiful and clean pool.

Nastanitev Casa Nostra se nahaja v mestu Lívingston in ima vrt, skupni prostor za druženje, teraso ter bar. Management and all staff were super friendly, accommodating, and professional. We also loved our view on the large balcony. The hotel restaurant is outstanding, excellent food with a beautiful view of the ocean and surrounding mountains. We would definitely recommend to others looking to stay in the area.

Nastanitev Hotel Kangaroo y Restaurante je v mestu Rio Dulce, le nekaj korakov od znamenitosti trdnjava Castillo de San Felipe de Lara, in nudi storitve concierge, sobe za nekadilce, vrt, brezplačen... The hotel is on a peaceful part of the river. The rooms are rustic but nicely done and very clean. We were worried about not having air conditioning but the fan worked well and we slept great. It cools down considerably at night. Shower has hot water and was better thanks shower in Flores. Free pick up and drop off in Rio Dulce with good communication. Meals were excellent and well priced. We used their tour to go up the lake to Livingstone and it was a highlight of our trip. We also rented a kayak to paddle across to the castle and along the river.The owners are very nice and helpful. If you are debating about staying here versus either Rio Dulce or Livingston, we definitely recommend Kangaroo. The towns are not nice to stay in.

Nastanitev Hotel La Casa Rosada je v mestu Lívingston in ima vrt, teraso ter bar, na voljo pa je tudi brezplačen WiFi v celotni nastanitvi. Hotel ima svoj pomol, kjer te pobere ladja / trajekt. Na pomolu je streha, mizice, mreže, kjer se lahko sprostite in berete. Osebje v restavraciji je prijazno, jedilnica je čista. V suiti je postelja udobna in široka, soba je svetla. Nameščena je mreža proti komarjem.

Nastanitev Hotel El Reformador s 4 zvezdicami se nahaja v mestu Puerto Barrios in ponuja vrt, teraso ter bar. Staff was super friendly. Incuded breakfast was very good. Great shower with good water pressure.

Nastanitev Banana Palms Hotel je v mestu Rio Dulce, 13 min hoje od znamenitosti trdnjava Castillo de San Felipe de Lara, in nudi zunanji bazen, brezplačno zasebno parkirišče, vrt ter skupni prostor za... River view, restaurant & amenities were just right!
