Hosts Taro and Kayono were very welcoming. Lu Lu Lu is an easy 5min walk from JR Asahi station and 3 stations from Kochi. Rooms are big by Japanese standards with comfortable beds and a desk. Free Japanese breakfast is simple but filling. Hosts freely give advice on local attractions and will lend bicycles for free.(15min to Kochi station) Common shower rooms are modern and clean. Common kitchen is useful for cooking. Convenience store next door and a few local ramen and gyoza shops nearby.. Will visit again..

This hotel was in a fantastic location for the Kochi Marathon. it is also easy walking distance to shops, restaurants and Kochi castle. The rooms are TINY! Coming from Australia it was a bit of an adjustment, only one of us could open our suitcase at a time. They were very clean and comfortable and had private bathrooms. The breakfast area was really nice, like being in a coffee shop, and the staff were very helpful. they even opened for breakfast a little early for me on race day - thank you!

This was a very affordable hostel to use as a "base-camp" for the pilgrimage around Kochi. After temple 28, I took the train here and left my bag to walk around pack-free and the cost, even with bus fare here each night, was more affordable than if I had stopped closer the temples every night. It's very small and minimalistic, perfect if you just want an affordable place to sleep.

I often stay at this hotel when I visit Kochi City. I stay here because of the location and comfort. This stay however was not as great as usual. There were guests a few rooms down who were very loud late into the night. I called down to the service desk to ask for assistance, and they were quick to solve the problem. This is still the hotel I will choose every time I come to the city.

The hotel room was clean and tidy. There are leisure area with free massage chairs and a lot of reading books in Japanese. Onsen was moderate but hotel provides a lot free drinks, noodles, ice cream at different periods. More choices for breakfast. Very close to shopping area and Kochi Castle. Unexpectedly there was local market fare next to hotel during Sunday morning!😄

The location was further from Kochi centre than I had appreciated but easily accessible for the Airport bus (Hoe-chi stop) - 5-10 minutes walk. The breakfast was Japanese specialities at their best which suited me but be warned there is not a continental alternative. The Breakfast Room is open in the evening for all, coffee on tap.

This stay is beyond incredible. We have traveled to Japan so many times, but Kami and Nook's Kitchen can easily be the top of our list now. Everything is perfect – the house is a wonderful blend of traditional and modern. Naoko-san is the warmest, most caring, and knowledgable host. We had the best time in Kochi thanks to her.

This ryokan is a bit off the path around Kochi but the main reason for the stay was the onsen, which more than met the expectations as listed on their website. The onsen had so many places to sit and enjoy the hot springs water, and the quality of the water was great (hot with a lot of dissolved minerals).

About 1km from Kochi JR station, the only way to the hostel is walking. Staff is good but available before 8pm only. Room is clean & comfy but Wifi is not good, it's connented but no internet. Male shower room is on the 2nd Fl but male dorm is on the 3rd Fl. Anyway, it's a good place to stay.

Very well located hotel, with a very comfortable room, especially for the price! I really recommend it to people visiting Kochi, as you have a quick access to the station. There is also a very nice shrine to visit in the evening just a few steps from the hotel!

The room is big and comfortable, and its design is distinctive and convenient. The staff is kind when I raise to store my luggage temporarily. The location of this hotel is perfectly good. It took me 4-5 minutes to get to hotel from Kochi station.

Older but well kept property, Jyoseikan is great value and convenient location for Kochi visitors as it is walking distance from the Kochi Castle and Hirome Market and buses and trams stoop right around the hotel to other destinations in Kochi City.

It is a convenient location in the heart of Kochi right next to HIrome market. It was a clean modern Japanese business hotel with private baths. It also has a public bath on the top floor (for men) which grants a view of Kochi city

Very close to the shopping arcade. About 15 minutes walk from JR Kochi train station. You can take whatever condiments you like, it's self serve. There is a convenience store attached to the hotel. It's open 24/7.

Great location directly opposite the station. Easy access to the rest of Kochi by cute trams. Staff on the front desk are friendly and helpful. It is a very Japanese hotel. Inspiring breakfast room.

The price !! Rooms were spacious for Japanese hotels. Very reasonable breakfast included. The hotel is a walking distance from JR Kochi station. Staff spoke good English and very friendly.

The hotel is located on the 'main' street of Kochi near the castle and entertainment district. The rooms are quite large and there's very little street noise inside the room.

The hotel is located in the "night district" of Kochi, quite central. The shower and restroom were quite clean.

No frills business hotel, conveniently located to Kochi Station and walking distance to other tourist spots.

More confortable and cleaner than the previous hotel I stayed in Kochi. Very kind and accommodating staff.
