Liked that it is located just at the Dentetsu Station which is very helpful for traveller going for the Tateyama Apline Route. Surrounding are malls where we can get nice and famous Toyama delicacies. Room is not big but okay for 2 medium size luggages. The massage chair and coffee machine at the rest area, for guests, next to lobby is a plus. Breakfast was ok.

Open from June 2016, Toyama Onyado Nono features hot spring baths and is located in the heart of Toyama City, a 15-minute walk from JR Toyama Station. It features free WiFi and a restaurant. Good location with many shops opposite the hotel. A personal onsen bath in the hotel room is relaxing. The local buffet breakfast was excellent and free Ramen at night was delicious. It is within walking distance to the train station.

The hotel is on the top floor of a cozy shopping mall Maroot that is right next to Toyama Station, the tram station and everything else. Maroot has my favourite Muji along with other shops, restaurants and sake bar that are just nice for us to enjoy our 5 nights stay in Toyama. I particularly chose this hotel because it has the public bath which I could have a soak every night after a long day walk. The hotel also has washing machines and dryers that we could wash our clothes almost everyday. The business lounge also provides water refill and coffee tea and snacks and a place for you to work or read. Overall I am very happy with my stay here. Highly recommend people to stay here if you want the convenience.

Nature is wonderful in and around Toyama. City itself is average, but very clean and safe. The people are very countryside, and in Japan this means very insular, protective, and somewhat paranoid of anyone "different."

Hope to visit again~
Our family set Toyama airport as a base to trip to HAKUBA ski areas in Feburary. There were some hot springs on the way to go to HAKUBA. You could enjoy skiing, taking a spa and driving a car in a heavy snow.

Very easy to get around Toyama with the tram. Each tram ticket costs 200 yen, but the hotel you stay at should have a discount ticket so get it if you can! The castle museum has an English translation book you can use for free. It's an interesting museum. You can get a joint ticket for the museum opposite the castle but it's very small. Check it out, it's only a 100 extra but I didn't think much of it. There is nice shopping around Toyama station.

Have some fun!
The Toyama Glass Art Museum was very good! Toyama Castle is beautiful from the outside and you can go inside for a nice view. The inside of the castle is not authentic though. Toyama is famous of Toyama black ramen. It was a good experience, but very salty!

A great base for any mountain adventure
Didn't really explore Toyama, which we regret. We only used it as a base for an early morning Tateyama Alpine Route adventure. But definitely a nice city. Would have stayed longer if we had enough time.

A pleasant trip
Our main target was the Japan Alpine Route, so Toyama was a good stop to rest there for a night. It was raining on the next day so we had no chance to visit the city. Overall was happy about it.

I went to nice places during autumn.
I went to nice places during autumn. I`d recommend Kurobe Gorge train for the ride and Takaoka for its large Buddha statue and a nearby park. I ate quite a bit of seafood while there, go for sushi when there and if you can afford, try the white shrimp. You can get a place in the Toyama station.

Take a drive up the Himi coast!
Take a drive up the Himi coast! It's spectacular in any season! Takaoka is a fairly cool city. There are some chill little bars such as El Barco or Otto's House that has English speaking staff. For nature (and Toyama is perfect for it) check out Shomyu falls and it's worth a drive up the mountain to IOX AROSA in spring for the flower fields. And Ranjo no Mori on the 359 to Toyama is a cool forest good for exploring.

Excellent choice to explore Toyama. Very close to a bus stop and city centre. Much of our sightseeing was at walkable distances. Including toyama castle, river cruise, glass museum, science museum etc. less than 20min walk from toyama railway station. Plus it has lots of freebies like free sauna / hot bath and ice lollies after and even free noodles at night. Excellent breakfast with japanese and continental items. Specialty items like the firefly squid, mentaiko omelet etc are found on the breakfast menu which was an unexpected surprise.

The place was clean beyond anything I have seen. The location was perfect: close to the station, but in a quiet neighborhood. Very spacious, traditional and everything needed for a stay in Toyama (a supermarket is close by). I will return to Toyama just to enjoy this inn again.

The hotel is very new, clean and good decorating. It's location not too far from JR station, it takes 5 minute walk from the station. I love all especially the utensil provided in the room made by Toyama's artisan, which you can buy some souvenirs from the JR department store, it's a pity that no discount for the Hotel's guest.
