Hotel Lara's Planet offers pet-friendly accommodation in El Castillo de La Concepción. The hotel has a barbecue and sun terrace, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant. We loved this hotel. Natasha was an angel.Her staff were friendly and helpful. Her rooms were huge, airy, clean, and comfortable. The balcony was a great place for watching the sunset. Breakfast consisted of lots of fruit, eggs, toast, and delicious rice pancakes. Natasha went out of her way to help organize our journey back to Leon. ❤️

This isn't a lodge, this is a paradise of tranquility facing the river and sunsets. Amazing view and location just outside the city, you will feel like living in the forest with all you need of confort. The hosts Saúl & Teresa along with their friendly dog Koldo will watch you over from near by in case you need anything and will be happy to share with you their experience in creating an ecolodge you can also visit. Monkey neighbours may take responsability to set up the alarm clock to let you enjoy the jungle waking up. They have also been very helpfull for gathering necessary information on transfers to and from el castillo

Guacimo lodge sits in 40 hectare primary forest property situated close to El Castillo and Indio Maiz biosphere reserve. It features river view bungalows, a large rancho, a yoga deck and a pool. We had an excellent stay in Guacimo. The place itself is beautiful and the facilities were excellent, however it was the staff and excursions that made the trip so special. Manuel had been so helpful corresponding with us before the stay about the logistics of arriving at Guacimo. Our boat from San Carlos was full by the time we arrived and so Guacimo helped by sending their boat to collect us, without which we'd have been stuck for the night in San Carlos. They helped us arrange to see everything that we wanted to whilst there and gave us some great advice on where to go in Nicaragua after our stay at Guacimo. Gustavo was a brilliant guide and taught us so much about the local history & wildlife. Franklin was there to help with any and all queries we had and was great with helping us arrange our onward journey and Margarita cooked us the most wonderful food!

We stayed for two nights, once after arriving on the bus from Managua and then again when returning on the boat from El Castillo. It is in the perfect location for the bus terminal and boat port (2 minute walk). The rooms are basic but clean. Great value for money.

A great place to stay! A lovely old house, clean, comfortable and on a quiet street close to the centre for the bus and boats. The owners are extremely kind people, I needed to change my dates twice due to a chane of plans and then unforseen circumstances and they were very generous and understanding. I booked and stayed here both times I was in San Carlos. Overall, fantastic value and would absolutely recommend a stay here!

Offering an outdoor pool and a restaurant, Hotel de Campo is located in Caño Negro Wildlife Reserve in Alajuela. Free WiFi access is available in this property in limited areas. Loved it , beautiful gardens, lovely restaurant, super boat trips, fantastic staff, great swimming pool, fantastic monkeys. Food really lovely they even made me a rice pudding which was yummy yummy.

The hotel is tastefully set in beautiful natural surroundings. The staff team were very helpful is organising our trips & arranging breakfast to go for a very early start. Food was wonderful.

The surroundings are beautiful and very close to the large wetlands. There was a laguna only a few meters down form our room where we also spotted many species of bird. By taking a boat up the river you can see even more varieties of birds, caimans, and turtles. Cano Negro is one of our favorite places to visit in all of Central America due to its beautiful nature and diversity of birds. We will definitely come back in the future! Noteworthy, the family also offer dinner which was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!
