The food was great. The staff was really friendly. The The location was great. There were a lot of pleasant surprises like being picked up from the boat, treats in the room, free filtered water. The grounds were immaculate with hammocks and lounge chairs. We booked for 3 nights and stayed for 9 nights!

The hotel grounds are beautiful to lounge outside and spend the day relaxing in hammocks, not to mention each room is equipped with its own seating area on a shared patio. The rooms were clean, air conditioning+WIFI were strong, there was a lock box and bistro set in each room and clothes line outside to wash things after a day at the beach. It's centrally located a brief walk from the dock towards the quieter side, but accessible to many great eateries on both ends. There is also a dining area upstairs that you could order breakfast ahead where you'll find Louise who manages all communication - she is wonderful and accommodating to try to ensure you have the best experience (even checking in early). Selma who provides the daily check is also very inviting, always greeting you with a big smile as well as the lovely gentleman who maintains the property grounds.

Christina Guesthouse is one of the best hostel during my trip. She is so friendly, and also her family members. She tried to help you and make you comfortable. The Guesthouse is new and modern at this little island. The kitchen is well equipped Wifi is available I enjoyed my stay here. Thanks.

Water front relaxation areas, sunset views, cool hermit crabs crossing and is close to swimming beaches. Has a rustic villa style feel and the rooms were kept cool with the coral walls and ocean breeze. We had dinner in the restaurant which we had to make reservations earlier in the day to be sure they could prepare the dish of our choice. The freshly made Italian fettuccini pasta was a exquisite treat! The fish and chicken made with unique sauces ingredients. Gourmet, like anything I’ve ever tried. My husbands lobster was huge and he ate it all up quickly. The place felt like home we will book here again when we return to Big Corn.

There is so much to discover on the large grounds and on the paths through the forest or along the beach. Anna, Derek and family are very warm people with whom we quickly felt comfortable and at home. The breakfast is great and dinner with everyone who wants to join is a nice and culinary way to get together. The on-site dive center is also great with breathtaking dive spots right outside the door, experienced guides and good equipment. We are happy to have experienced such a relaxed stay on the island through Derek's Place. That's why we stayed twice as long as originally planned.
