Dinner was really nice, intimate and attentive. We felt like we were the only guests at the hotel. :) The whole experience was a lot of fun, from the Crab Safari (I had NO idea crab could taste so good!) to meeting the Huskies. The cabin was comfortable. I'd love to do this in the winter!!

Situated 20 km from Alta’s town centre, along the Alta River, is this special igloo hotel. The hotel was spectacular. We had the chance to view all the suites and they were all incredible. If you can splurge on the suite…do it! The art in the hotel is just incredibly creative and beautiful. All around in incredible!!

This central Kirkenes hotel is on the shore of Bøkfjorden, 900 metres from Hurtigruten Ferry Terminal. It offers free Wi-Fi and an à la carte restaurant with a seasonal menu. My check-in was at 15:00 but I arrived at 13:00 and I didn't have to wait, everything was ready. I had a very clean room with a breathtaking view, and it was also very calm. No annoying noice. It's so important to me.

Great location for the Varanger scenic route and for a quick dash to the Russian border (actually the road there goes through an astonishing and rapidly changing landscape), not to mention many local beaches and the azure blue sea. The food in the restaurant was great and the breakfast very adequate. But above all that, the staff were really helpful, friendly and accommodating. An added bonus are the destination chargers. Plus the room was spotlessly clean and comfortable.

Always ok to come to Lakselv. Great nature.
Lakselv is an ok place in Finnmark. The center itself is nothing special, but the landscape and nature around the place is great. They have an airport there, Banak Airport so it is easy to fly here. There is one "big" hotel, Lakselv Hotel which is very nice and Åstedet Pub which is a pub/restaurant with some rooms. I usually stay there when I'm at work here.

Alta is definitely worth the visit if you're going to...
Alta is definitely worth the visit if you're going to Finnmark! The Alta Museum with its rock carvings alone make it amazing, as well as the Northern Lights Cathedral. I recommend just driving around the coastline and going on hikes, because the scenery is amazing. The people are friendly, the location is good for day trips to nearby areas, it's easy to get around town by bike or car. If you're in need of shopping, the city center has everything you might need.

Great experiences just outside the hotel, both with or without my camera. Steilneset Memorial commemorates the victims of the witchcraft processes in Finnmark was a special experience.

Lovely property near the Kittiwake colony and situated perfectly between all the great birding areas in Varanger - it's just a short drive to the airport, Vadsø, Vardø, and Kiberg. We had the eagle house and it was absolutely amazing with views from the living room over the Kittiwakes and the ocean. There is free parking and a great hiking path just behind the house. The house is very well equipped and perfect for cooking meals, making coffee, laundry, etc. Beds are comfy, the curtains are blackout for long summer nights and the area is so quiet (except for the birds of course, but it's wonderful to hear them all day!) The host was incredibly friendly and provided us with lots of great advice about the area. Highly recommend staying here, it's one of our favorite stays of all time!

I was very lucky with my room: I looked straight at the harbour and church from my bed. Free hot water and tea bags whenever needed. Otherwise everything was fine and kind of as expected for a big modern hotel - good wifi, friendly staff etc. The breakfast was nice. Location is brilliant, and I really liked Hammerfest, as it is not too small to be bored yet not as touristy/big as other towns in the North of Norway. I washed two items of clothing with the soap in the bathroom and they still smell nice even 4 days afterwards :)

Visit end Sep 23. One of my top 3 hotels out of over 30 I stayed at during my 5 week trip in Norway. Beautiful location with exceptional rooms, spaces and the most helpful and friendly staff out of all the places I stayed. Amazing food and ambiance. Contemporary and eclectic. Will definitely be back!
