We were able to unwind and relax in a super comfortable room with amazing views out over the garden which features rocky outcrops which adjoin the labyrinth rock special site next door. The spa pool was so relaxing after a long day pf travel and we slept like babies in the quiet room with windows open and cool Takaka breeze. Hosts were perfect, very informative but also respectful of your space and privacy. Having laundry and kitchen facility was added bonus to an already amazing property. We can't wait to return. The owners were also kind enough to let us charge our EV (pre-arranged) which is a tremendous convenience to start the day recharged,

Sanctuary with spectacular views out over Golden Bay. Owners, Elizabeth and Duan made us feel right at home, went the extra mile to ensure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend staying here.

Offering free WiFi and set on the bank of a stream, Chalet Karaka offers accommodations 3 minutes' drive from Takaka village in Golden Bay. Chalet Karaka was absolutely delightful - a hidden gem, tucked away in a beautiful, tranquil bushy setting with a small picturesque stream running at the bottom of the garden. The shower was fantastic - excellent pressure with a lovely glass side looking out onto the private garden and stream. The room was spacious and well appointed and the icing on the cake was the generous outdoor undercover living area/deck complete with a Weber for all your barbecue requirements. Ngairie, our host, was friendly, welcoming and very helpful.

Waitapu Springs B&B in Takaka provides accommodations with a spa and wellness center and barbecue facilities. This 3-star bed and breakfast features a spa experience, with its sauna and hot tub. Serge and his wife run a beautiful and slightly quirky spa/B&B quite near Golden Bay. The hot tubs were calming after a busy day and the traditional, wood-fired sauna made my evening. Even a cool water pool to plunge in after.

Great place to stay and explore Abel Tasman & Golden Bay. Mark is a perfect host, we spent a great time for Christmas at his B&B ! Rooms are spacious and clean, breakfast is great ! Could not recommend more.

Located in the heart of Pohara Beach at Golden Bay, Ratanui Lodge was fully refurbished in winter 2021, it offers rooms with free Wi-Fi and free continental breakfast in a beautiful natural setting. Very well appointed room in lovely location and our restaurant meal was excellent. The staff were very welcoming and helpful with activities in the area.

Beautiful place, wonderful hosts, very comfortable house that meets all your needs. Toddlers loved feeding the sheep. Will definitely stay there again.
