Peace and calm can be felt throughout Volando Urai Spring Spa & Resort, a 5-star hot spring resort surrounded by the lake and forests of Wulai Township. The service was exceptional, from the front desk to the restaurants to the spa. I almost cried when we were shown our room. It was huge and had a beautiful view of the tranquil river outside. The spa was excellent, there is a public portion that is also great! The hotel was a really short walk to the historic village, where we took a tram up the mountain. The village had amazing street food. The food in the hotel was gastronomy and one could tell that great care went into the planning and preparation of it. The room was supplied with coffee and tea and snacks. All in all, it was very hard to say goodbye. Great accommodation and service for the price.

Absolutely incredible spa with breathtaking views over gorgeous mountains. Our room was spacious, comfy and had a beautiful hot spring bath. The spa facilties were excellent with a variety of open, secluded and indoor spaces. Just hope you're OK with the eggy sulphur smell! The breakfast was really nice, served in a spacious room, with plenty of Eastern and Western options.
