High end hotel / historical onsen located in nature (national park, a nice walk in forest and lakes available around the hotel), with high-end japanese culinary experience in addition to traditional onsen experience. Expensive, but worth it

Boasting a garden and views of city, Historical Ryokan SENYUKAN is a ryokan set in a historic building in Ōwani, 42 km from Lake Towada. Amazing historical and cultural living place

Koganezaki Furofushi Onsen has sea views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Fukaura, a few steps from Furofushi Onsen. Bath in an outdoor onsen next to the ocean while seeing sunset is a once-in-a-life time experience.

Situated in Aomori and only 20 km from Sannai-Maruyama site, Yadoya Tsubaki features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. I have no words to tell what I think about the hotel for the reason that it was too good. Expecting a dark guesthouse it was a ryokan like with everything that a ryokan provides. Go there and you ll see yourself if I am exaggerating.

Located at the foot of Mount Hakkoda, Hotel Jogakura provides mountain resort accommodation boasting natural hot spring baths, saunas and gorgeous Japanese meals. 3rd time in Hakkoda and the previous 2 had been at the hotel close to the Ropeway. Jogakura is far superior and I would stay here again in a flash. We were upgraded from a twin to a superior twin on arrival. The buffet breakfast was amazing and the hotel guiding over the back with pick up was fantastic value.

Only a 2-minute walk from JR Aomori Train Station, Iroha Ryokan offers simple Japanese-style rooms with a flat-screen TV. The price is good, and it comes with a nice Japanese room as I expected capsules with this price. Moreover, the location is very good, close to major stations and tourist attraction. Extremely good accomadation.

Boasting a spa bath, Tabinoyado Saikawa is situated in Kuroishi. This 3-star ryokan provides a spa experience, with its spa facilities and beauty services. Enjoyed everything ! Ranko was fabulous host and her mother is a fabulous cook for dinner and breakfast. The food was local and organic and much of it was grown by the family. The room and futons were clean and comfortable . The ryokan is decorated with local products and crafts with nice warm , home like feeling. we enjoyed a variety of local sakes and of course apple juice. The onsen was great with local spring water from nearby Mt Hakkoda. Conveniently located near Mt Hakkoda, apple orchards , sake breweries, art and craft centers , and hirosake castle / museum / botanical gardens. Was the best hotel/ryokan experience in japan.

Located in the Asamushi Onsen district of Aomori, Kaisenkaku is 19 km from Sannai-Maruyama site and 2 km from Asamushi Aquarium. Location is great! A few steps from the train station. Our room is Japanese style with sea view. Dinner was superb! They served Japanese traditional food set with wagyu and seafood buffet. Breakfast's buffet lines were impressive as well!! Onsen has two big indoor pools and one outdoor pool. Hot spring water is also serviced at our room's bath tub!! We were very happy!!!
