Set 2.5 km from Kanazawa Station, 3.7 km from Myoryuji - Ninja Temple and 200 metres from Utasu Shrine, UTAIMACHI offers accommodation located in Kanazawa. This place was amazing. Beautiful Japanese room with a full kitchen and nice bath. Hotel staff spoke perfect English. And it's right in the middle of Higashi Chaya! This was our favorite place to stay in Japan.

Offering a garden and garden view, Gunjo no Tsuki is located in Kanazawa, 1.8 km from Kanazawa Castle and 1.7 km from Kenrokuen Garden. The place was a very comfortable, spacious and a beautiful modern ryokan. The owner welcomed us upon our arrival and showed us how to make ourselves comfortable there. He refunded us the prepaid breakfast fees immediately as my wife is allergic to wheat and could not enjoy the breakfast supplied by his nice coffee shop. He asked us about the purpose of our stay: such as whether we were just transiting. As he understood that we wanted to visit Kanazawa for 3 days, he provided us with a map explaining where the main attractions were and how to reach them with the public transportation. He also helped us to send our luggage with the Takkyubin express courier service to our next hotel.

Situated within the historic Higashi Chaya District, Yamanoo boasts carefully prepared traditional local Japanese delicacies. Free WiFi access and free private parking are available on site. The onsen bath, the location, the view of the geisha district, the service was exceptional.

Located a 5-minute drive from JR Kanazawa Station, Ryokan Yamamuro offers Japanese-style guestrooms with free WiFi. Omicho Market and Kanazawa Castle Park can both be reached with a 5-minute walk. It was my first stay at a ryokan and an absolutely great experience. Great location, an awesome room with a comfy bed, a mini onsen in the basement. But the best was the host, Mr. Bungo, he was extremely friendly, helpful and patient. His English proficiency is exceptional and he really knows his city and surrounding area well. Especially the village of Shirakawa ;-)

Boasting a 200-year history, Motoyu Ishiya features classic architecture, an original Noh stage and a garden. Motoyu Ishiya is a 230 year old hotel just outside of the historic city of Kanazawa. The property itself is stunning, the photos do not do this place justice. It is a very spiritual place where you can’t help but feel at peace. The staff are exceptional and accommodate English speakers to the best of their ability. The meals included are very traditional and require an open-mindedness from foreigners. I look forward to returning in the future.

Just 100 metres from the tea houses of the Higashi-Chayamachi district, Minshuku Ginmatsu features free Wi-Fi throughout and offers Japanese-style rooms with air conditioning, an LCD TV and shared... Un lloc típic on dormir, personal amable i cordial,tot net, ben lluny de casa pero com a casa

Boasting indoor and outdoor hot-spring baths and a waterside Japanese garden, Matsusaki is a 20-minute drive from JR Matsuto Train Station. Everything! Staff are exceptional as was the accommodation. Service was superb and the food delicious. It’s not in Kanazawa but they have a shuttle bus to the station and it’s 3 stops to Kanazawa

Offering views of the Sai River, Yuyaruru Saisai’s spacious Japanese-style rooms have an LCD TV and a private bath. The size of the rooms were amazing! I also appreciated their help in arranging a New Year’s Eve dinner for us and allowed us to pay for all of it on credit card. The New Year’s breakfast was fantastic!

Offering free Wi-Fi and free-use bicycles and in-room Japanese meals, Sumiyoshiya is a traditional Japanese-style hotel. It features a garden, hot public baths and coin-operated laundry facilities. I loved everything about my stay at Sumiyoshiya. The staff is so nice and speak fair english, always ready to help you with anything you might need. The Japanese breakfast was delicious, everything was clean, they prepared my futon while I was away walking around the city, AC worked just fine, and the place actually looks so so nice!! Anyway, I genuinely couldn't find a single thing to complain about.
