Kotono yado Musashino offers accommodation in Nara, and is located a 11-minute drive from Nara Station on the Kintetsu Nara Line. This felt like less of a hotel stay and more of an experience as a whole. If you are exploring Nara I would recommend taking at least a day to just enjoy this hotel stay. We were greeted by extremely friendly staff who helped us with every little thing, from taking our luggage to ordering a taxi for our departure. We were served luxurious meals for dinner and breakfast in our room, by staff who set our table and made our bed. The location was magical with beautiful nature and deers roaming around outside. They had an amazing natural hot spring bath as well. Would warmly recommend this place.

The picturesque Japanese-style guest house Hotobil B&B 潤 An inn that enjoys breakfast is centrally located in Nara, 10 minutes by taxi from JR Nara Station. Thank you very much for the kind welcome! We really enjoyed our stay here, the beds were particularly comfortable and we adored the kotatsu, looking into buying one in the future hahaha. The breakfast was fab, really appreciated the more traditional Japanese breakfast! Also thanks so much for bringing us our forgotten items after we had left for a few minutes, our forgetful selves are very appreciative! :)

The accommodation facility of Gyokuzoin Temple features a hot public bath. The hotel is located in Mount Shigisan and houses a souvenir shop and drinks vending machines. Staying here was a wonderful experience for our family, including 3 kids, ages 10, 15, 17. The location was magical and serene, the food delicious and unique. Wish we could have stayed longer to participate in more of the educational opportunities. Took a train, then a local bus as close as we could and then walked the last 3/4 mile, which worked out fine since we only had day packs on us, but you may want to plan your transportation ahead of time if this wouldn't work for you.

Tsukihitei is located in the Kasugayama Primeval Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage site. We were impressed by the location and the overall facilities and decor of the place

Located in Ikoma and only 8.8 km from Iwafune Shrine, Kanko Ryokan Yamato provides accommodation with city views, free WiFi and free private parking. The accommodation was only a few steps away from the cable car station, making it accessible. Not only is the outside reminiscent of the traditional ryokan imagery but the inside is also beautifully decorated and maintained by the host. Flowers are freshly placed, baths are timed for guests' use, and the host is always there to make sure your stay is as welcome as possible.

Kadojin features mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Tenkawa. The property has garden and inner courtyard views. The location was picturesque and overall incredibly pleasant to look around at. The property itself is very well maintained, truly delivers the classic ryokan experience, onsen are amazing and very enjoyable, the staff was wonderful and incredibly helpful. The food was something else - both the kaiseki dinner and the breakfast were delicious, filling and a great pleasure to partake in. Overall, would highly recommend, I had a blast staying at Kadojin.

Located in Tenkawa, Misenkan offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. This 2-star ryokan offers luggage storage space. Guests can enjoy river views. Amazing care and hospitality in every aspect of our stay. Beautiful nature and approach to creating a welcoming atmosphere for all of my group. The nearby nature trails are the most spectacular I have seen in Japan.

Kakimotoya is located near Mount Shigi, a 10-minute taxi ride from JR Oji Train Station. We were pleasantly surprised by the meals provided at the Ryokan. Meals were beautifully prepared. We didn't get to experience the bath but we hope to next time. Very clean, comfortable, and accommodating. The staff were all so kind.

Situated within 1.5 km of Nara Station and 19 km of Iwafune Shrine, Nara Ryokan features rooms with air conditioning and a shared bathroom in Nara. It was comfortable, quiet and unique. We enjoyed the hot baths privately and then went on the massage chairs which was great after days of walking. We fell fast asleep and were very comfortable. A very special place.

Wakasa Annex features an outdoor hot public bath and free WiFi. Other facilities include a 24-hour reception, drinks vending machines and free parking. Todai-ji Temple is only an 8-minute walk. Everything was just perfect when we stayed here! When we arrived at the hotel, we were offered hot towels and lemon and honey tea. A worker took our luggage and brought it to our room. Our room was super spacious and comfortable, and there was even free beer and water in the fridge. The small outdoor bathtub was perfect and easy to use. The upstairs Onsen was small, but we were the only ones there, so it wasn't a problem for us. The kaiseki dinner and breakfast were perfectly made and delicious. It was fun to taste so many different dishes and flavors that we otherwise wouldn't have tasted. The whole experience of staying here was just perfect and definitely a highlight of our entire Japan trip. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to everyone who wants to experience a real ryokan experience
