Hotel provided shuttle bus service between hotel & kawaguchiko. Handsome taiwanese staff recommended restaurant for dinner. This hotel shows japanese hospitality "omotenashi". The room & spa is very clean. Lake & Mt fuji can be seen clearly, very beautiful landscape. Lenticularis happened on 20th Oct, unforgettable view. Staff makes bed on 6pm, very comfortable and can sleep well.

While the onsen doesn't offer a direct view of mount Fuji, we could clearly see it on our drive over thanks to clear skies. When we entered the premises, the staff was attentive immediately. From taking our luggage to making sure we were set up in our room. The room was SPACIOUS, with a lounge area and bedroom with screens to close off sections. The highlight was having our own outdoor bath to enjoy during cold winter nights. Perhaps the most breathtaking aspect of our stay were the meals. We were blown away by our dinner. It was the best thing we ate during out entire trip in Japan (we were in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto prior). We enjoyed a sumptuous parade of dishes that really showed off the local ingredients. We didn't think it could get better, but breakfast the next day was equally, if not more, delicious. While expensive, we enjoyed a serene getaway with our private outdoor bath and excellent meals. Would love to return.

The host was incredibly sweet and accommodating, with lots of knowledge of the local area, including the best spots to take photos of Fuji. He gave us complimentary tea/coffee and snacks in our room, and kindly offered to drive us to the station after we checked out. Traditional atmospheric ryokan (room had a cozy kotatsu).

In the first place, the location of the hotel Rei is superb. Host is very hospitable and helpful, he speaks good English and provided us with tips where to take the best pictures. Cusine is very well-prepared. In-house onsen is well setup upon our arrival.

Family run Ryokan with a beautiful Japanese rock garden. Yo, the son speaks good English and was more than helpful. As it was a quiet time he transported us to see local sites, recommended local eateries and himself prepared excellent traditional Japanese food. Fabulous hot tub room included in the stay.

The room is very big with a nice table with tea 🥰 . The breakfast is very delicious and good value 😋. We love the Yukata clothing and the private onsen in the evening. Spacious and beautifully decorated Japanese style room with any amenities you could think of. Very quiet, comfy beds. We had a private Onsen in our room which we didn’t use as the public one was great. There was tea time in the afternoon and cocktails in the evening all free of charge. Breakfast had a variety of Asian and Western choices. The staff were very attentive and helpful. It’s a bit up the hill - however if you don’t like to walk there is a free shuttle from the train station and back.
