Great place for relaxing! It's actually a SPA, you can use onsen whenever you want(even 3am), the room is clean and nice.

Set in Matsumoto, 3.1 mi south from Matsumoto Station,L-BASE features free private parking. Kishinoyu Onsen and Utsukushigahara Onsen are a 20-minute drive from the property. The location was good with a free car park and quiet surrounding area. We travelled by car so it was very convenient to go anywhere from there. The room was clean with a hammock to relax. There was a coin-operated washing machine in common area with detergent. The kitchen was very good. The owner was so kind and gave my children small lovely chocolate chunks. We enjoyed our 3-night stay so much.

To no one's surprise, a Japanese hotel is super cleanly and orderly. The Route Inn gives you the option of having a light daily cleaning and a full daily cleaning. I opted for the light cleaning, since I'm not a messy person, and I was only staying for 4 days. The breakfast provided was also fantastic. Served in a buffet style, the hotel restaurant provided a variety of both Western style and Japanese style breakfast foods.

Perfect location next to Shiojiri station, staff were very helpful using translation apps during checkin, very good value, good location to see things like Narai Juku and Haraide Ruins, breakfast included

This 3-star hotel offers luggage storage space.... It is a calm, soothing and serene place to stay. there is a public bathroom if you prefer to have a soak in a big space. Soaking in a hot bath means a good night sleep. the breakfast provided was excellent. I feel i have been pampered.

My friends and I stayed here on very short notice after the shinkansen service was suspended and we had to divert through Nagano. We're very happy we did! The building itself is very tidy and homey! The bathing facilities were very comfortable and clean! The breakfast was beyond delicious! The staff is exceptionally welcoming and very kind (they even gave us a ride to the nearby bus station to drop off our luggage, then dropped us off at Matsumoto Castle)! I could go on and on about the staff and their hospitality. We know VERY little Japanese but their English was amazing and they did a great job explaining the amenities to us! The surrounding area is very quiet and beautiful! They are tucked inconspicuously in a small, suburban neighborhood and mountains surround the area. I cannot recommend this place enough and hope to stay here again in the future! If you are in the area, please do yourself a favor and stay here :)
