staying at this place we really felt like we were treated like family fadwa, hajiba, faiza and the rest of the staff were more than accommodating
the breakfast was wonderful and traditional and no expenses were spared, the cheese was fresh the olive oil was fresh
when we went to go to the hammam they offered us some traditional soap to take with us for example which i found really touching
a wonderful building with an interesting heritage also apparently its over 400 years old and parts of it used to be a mosque

There was home cooked food served for dinner which tasted amazing. Breakfast was good too.
We arrived in the winter season so it was cold, but we had ample covers and a room heater.

Meeting Zakia is worth the visit to this lovely town. From the moment we arrived, Zakia welcomed us like family. She shared her courageous and passionate journey to open the town to foreign visitors and champion progress for rural women. She is a most incredible person. The home/hotel is thoughtfully decorated and somewhat museum-like with many traditional Moroccan antiques. We were very comfortable. So glad we chose to stay here.

Excellent breakfast and dinner choices made fresh. Excellent room. Nicely decorated. Very clean facility. Room size was adequate. Large comfortable bathroom and shower. The staff helped me with a train reservation and arranged for a taxi. A map of the area is provided for both an area hike and directions to the Roman Ruins Volubilis. I highly recommend. Very relaxing. Wish I had been able to spend another night.

Locals will offer to transport your luggage on donkey’s back if needed. The house has an artist vibe about it yet has preserved beautiful ceiling in our bedroom. Rose, the owner, is also involved in charitable projects. Meals are taken on the rooftop offering a beautiful view of the valley. Worth having dinner there as the girls are superb cooks. Finally, artisan soap in the bathroom was a nice eco friendly touch.

There we got some welcome tea and later on the best Tajine we had so far! It was made from organic veggies from Moulay Idriss. Zakia even upgraded our room to a much bigger one than the one we had booked. Her whole house is very beautiful and has lots of sweet details, plus the view from her balcony is amazing! Thank you so much for the warm hospitality! <3

They can arrange all sorts of things for you from the Riad if you just ask. We arranged a driver to Fes but they offer donkey rides and other things. Also good water pressure (for Marokko) and very hot shower (even at 8pm). The aircon also can be turned to heat and the room was nice and warm (very important in winter). Be aware that you have to walk to the hotel which probably would be annoying with large luggage.

Make a detour and spend a night in Dar Zerhoune. You will be able to truly relax and regenerate. Some people complain about the stairs. Yes, there are some steps. But nothing to worry about. And the little street is lovely. The food, dinner and breakfast, is also lovely.
