Location wax also perfect: 5 minutes to the train station and 1 minute to a konbini. Great value for money. I can only recommend!

18 km from Tamawakasu-mikoto Shrine, guesthouse碧 is a recently renovated property situated in Okinoshima and features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. It's a very cute guesthouse with the most welcoming hosts. The guesthouse is located right next to a little secret path to the sea and next to a little seaside town with amazing rock formations and views. I was travelling without a car and the public transport is a little difficult, so the hosts always made sure that I can get to places without any issues.

COCORETO The Guesthouse Daikon Island is set in Matsue, 1 km from Yushien Garden, and had a wooden terrace and a shared lounge. Everything was perfect in that guest house: the location, the comfort, the cleanliness and the facilities. The owner is very nice and welcoming. The building was warm and the surroundings are very quiet. I had a very good night, I hope I could have stayed more!

Guest House Yonemuraya offers accommodation in central Matsue, 5 minutes walk from Matsue Castle. Free WiFi is featured throughout the property and private parking is available on site. Guest house Yonemuraya was a pleasant surprise. It was so much better than staying at a hotel, as it felt like a more authentic Japanese experience. I travelled to Matsue for a conference at Kunibike Messe convention centre and this was only a short walk away. Emi-San was an excellent host, helping me with finding place for dinner, sightseeing and shopping ideas when I had time off work. There was a lively restaurant area nearby, and the train station, castle etc were within walking distance.

The owner and the staff are very friendly and willing to help with everything they can. It is a good place to stay if you want to viait Iwami Ginzan or Yunotsu.

Easy to find even after having a night out. The staff informed me of all the rules. They also had a printed copy that was in both Japanese and English, which was great because I don't understand much Japanese yet.
